Normally, the antique wooden doors we treat are of superb quality wood. An advantage older fixtures have is that they don't get the modern kiln drying, which can shorten the lifespan of the wood considerably, so it's usually a good idea to make the effort to restore them properly. We keep your doors safe while ensuring a minimum exposure to our stripping process. Warped wood after a bad paint strip is usually very difficult to repair, so you're best off not taking any chances. It's important to be careful when selecting a paint stripper, as joints can crack and tighten and the wood can twist.
