It's important to be careful when selecting a paint stripper, as joints can crack and tighten and the wood can twist. Some of the doors we deal with are framed and plank wood Stuart doors, and six panel Georgian doors. And nobody has the experience and skill of Dipstrip at restoration and preservation! More recent doors won't have been made from a few solid pieces but rather combined from flakes and fragments of wood, unlike older doors. It's not unusual for us to be restoring four panel Victorian doors and three plus one doors from the Edwardian era.
