Some of our clients down through the years have been household names, and they are well pleased with our work. We have stripped paint, glue, lacquer, and other coverings from items ranging in size from the very small to three meter high doors and posts. The craftsmen in the Dipstrip team can undertake repairs on damaged doors, windows, and furniture for you. Using the very latest in paint stripping technology combined with an understanding of your requirements, we'll return your doors, furniture or other items dry, clean and in good shape.
Nothing beats the craftsmanship and skill of yesteryear, so we're focused on restoartion while respecting and maintaining that level of quality. An advantage older fixtures have is that they don't get the modern kiln drying, which can shorten the lifespan of the wood considerably, so it's usually a good idea to make the effort to restore them properly. More recent doors won't have been made from a few solid pieces but rather combined from flakes and fragments of wood, unlike older doors. Warped wood after a bad paint strip is usually very difficult to repair, so you're best off not taking any chances. Antique doors, windows and window frames would have been seasoned for many years, outside in the sun, to prevent cracking and warping.
With thirty years of experience in the business, your antique furniture or other project is in safe hands. Our reputation precedes us so give us a call today!
