More recent doors won't have been made from a few solid pieces but rather combined from flakes and fragments of wood, unlike older doors. It's important to be careful when selecting a paint stripper, as joints can crack and tighten and the wood can twist. An advantage older fixtures have is that they don't get the modern kiln drying, which can shorten the lifespan of the wood considerably, so it's usually a good idea to make the effort to restore them properly. We get your doors back to you dry and safe, and usually very quickly, with an overnight or sometimes same-day turnaround in many cases.
