An advantage older fixtures have is that they don't get the modern kiln drying, which can shorten the lifespan of the wood considerably, so it's usually a good idea to make the effort to restore them properly. Warped wood after a bad paint strip is usually very difficult to repair, so you're best off not taking any chances. There's no reason to risk your irreplaceable antique furniture, doors and window frames with anyone else. Normally, the antique wooden doors we treat are of superb quality wood. Some of the doors we deal with are framed and plank wood Stuart doors, and six panel Georgian doors.
